Sports Manager/Agent

Location: Remote in the USA

As a Sports Manager/Agent at FAM ENTERPRISES, you will play a pivotal role in managing and representing athletes across all aspects of their professional careers. This includes contract negotiations, NIL opportunities, sponsorships, brand partnerships, and long-term career planning. You will act as the primary point of contact for athletes, ensuring their personal and professional goals are achieved while fostering growth, empowerment, and financial success.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent athletes in all aspects of their careers, including contract negotiations, sponsorships, and brand partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between athletes, teams, sponsors, and other stakeholders to address their needs and maximize opportunities.
  • Manage the careers of athletes across various sports disciplines, ensuring alignment with their personal and professional goals.
  • Provide mentorship and ongoing support to athletes at all career stages, including crisis management.
  • Secure NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals for athletes by connecting with brands, sponsors, and organizations.
  • Develop customized NIL strategies to maximize athlete potential while adhering to NCAA, state, and federal regulations.
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage endorsement deals, brand collaborations, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure partnerships align with the athlete’s personal brand and career objectives.
  • Oversee endorsement deliverables, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate athlete contracts, ensuring they are legally sound and financially beneficial.
  • Advocate for athletes to secure optimal terms in all agreements, including team contracts, sponsorships, and long-term endorsements.
  • Analyze contract terms to identify risks, opportunities, and potential avenues for athlete growth.
  • Scout, recruit, and sign promising athletes to the agency, expanding the company’s talent roster.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective talent by attending sporting events and leveraging industry connections.
  • Collaborate with athletes to build their personal brands, expand their public profiles, and explore post-sports career opportunities such as entrepreneurship, public speaking, or coaching.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with athletes, teams, leagues, unions, and brands.
  • Act as the face of FAM ENTERPRISES at events, tournaments, conferences, and promotional engagements.
  • Organize and attend sponsor appearances, press events, and public engagements on behalf of athletes.
  • Stay informed on NIL regulations, industry trends, and emerging opportunities to provide top-tier advice to athletes.
  • Represent FAM ENTERPRISES as a leader in sports management and athlete empowerment.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth operations within the Sports Management Department and drive growth.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sports management, athlete representation, marketing, or related fields (minimum 5-7 years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of NIL regulations, sponsorship dynamics, and the sports business ecosystem.
  • A successful track record of securing contracts, endorsements, and sponsorship deals for athletes.
  • Established relationships with professional leagues, teams, unions, sponsors, and brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring existing athlete clients or expand the talent roster of an agency.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in business development, marketing, and contract management.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and passionate about athlete empowerment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage complex projects and relationships.
  • Former/current athlete, sports executive, or experience owning/managing a sports company.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legal, financial, and branding aspects of athlete representation.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and work flexible hours to meet industry demands.
SALARY: $100K to $150K
