President of Combat Sports

Location: Vegas, Colorado Springs or Michigan

The President of Combat Sports will be responsible for leading and expanding the growth of the Combat Sports Department, with a focus on increasing visibility, supporting athletes, and enhancing the sport at all levels. This key leadership role will involve cultivating relationships with fighters, organizations, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure combat sports thrive globally. Additionally, the President will oversee the development and growth of the Combat Sports brand and online store

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to drive the growth of the Combat Sports Department, enhancing athlete development, marketing efforts, and global reach.
  • Social Media & Content Management: Manage the department’s social media presence, creating engaging content and fostering fan and athlete interaction to elevate the visibility of combat sports.
  • Athlete Branding & NIL Deals: Assist fighters in growing their personal brands, securing NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals, and building their professional networks across combat sports.
  • Athlete Training & Development: Oversee the development and management of specialized training programs to enhance athlete performance, leadership, and career progression.
  • Event Management: Organize and manage fights, exhibitions, tournaments, and promotional events to showcase talent, engage fans, and promote the Combat Sports brand.
  • Recruitment & Relationship Building: Identify, recruit, and retain top-tier fighters, trainers, coaches, and staff. Build and maintain relationships with fighting organizations, gyms, and schools to expand the sport’s reach.
  • Fundraising & Sponsorships: Lead efforts to secure sponsorships, brand partnerships, and fundraising initiatives to support the department’s growth and sustainability.
  • Develop Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with major fighting organizations (e.g., UFC, Bellator), promotions, brands, and governing bodies to create new opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Global Initiatives & Athlete Exposure: Plan and oversee international fight cards, exhibitions, and events to expand the sport’s visibility globally.
  • Promote Diversity & Inclusion: Advocate for diversity and inclusion within combat sports, ensuring equal opportunities for athletes from all backgrounds.
  • Athlete Well-being & Mental Health: Collaborate with medical and mental health professionals to ensure fighters’ physical and psychological well-being is supported at all stages of their careers.
  • Media Relations & PR Strategy: Oversee public relations efforts, manage media relationships, and handle press releases to promote the department, fighters, and events.
  • Analytics & Performance Tracking: Use data analytics and performance tracking tools to assess fighter performance, enhance training programs, and make data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to contracts, NIL agreements, safety protocols, and international regulations governing combat sports.
  • Alumni Network Development: Build and maintain a network of former fighters to provide mentorship, networking opportunities, and active involvement in the growth of the sport.
Qualifications:
  • Combat Sports Experience: Must be a former or current fighter, sports executive, or owner of a combat sports organization with deep knowledge of the industry.
  • Established Industry Relationships: Proven relationships with combat sports organizations, gyms, fighters, promoters, and key decision-makers in the industry.
  • Leadership & Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to lead teams, negotiate contracts, secure sponsorships, and drive the success of athletes and the organization.
  • Passion for Combat Sports & Athlete Development: A passion for advancing the sport and supporting fighters in their personal and professional growth.
  • Extensive Sports Management Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of experience in sports management, event planning, and strategic development.
  • Strong NIL Expertise: Thorough understanding of NIL opportunities and athlete branding, with a proven track record of managing athlete partnerships successfully.
  • Creative Vision: An innovative approach to growing the Combat Sports brand, promoting athletes, and increasing the sport’s fan engagement.
  • Fundraising Expertise: Proven experience securing sponsorships, partnerships, and funding to support the development and expansion of combat sports.
  • Global Perspective: Experience in managing international partnerships, global events, and cross-border initiatives in combat sports.
  • Commitment to Equity: Strong advocate for creating equal opportunities in combat sports, ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion for athletes.
SALARY: $350K to $750K+
