Head of ACC Relations & Sports

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Must be able to travel)

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced leader with a deep understanding of the sports industry and strong connections within the ACC Conference. This role is ideal for a former or current professional athlete, a senior executive at a ACC -affiliated organization, or the owner of a successful sports company in the region. The Head of ACC Relations & Sports will drive strategic partnerships, expand our influence in sports, and lead key initiatives focused on athlete management, NIL marketing, and program development.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and strengthen relationships with the ACC Conference, its member schools, and current/former athletes.
  • Secure licensing agreements for logos, promotional products, media passes, and sideline access for our teams.
  • Represent the company at key ACC events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Collaborate with athletes across ACC schools to promote our company, brands, and stores.
  • Recruit athletes to join our management agency and offer tailored services, including marketing, management, and design.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive NIL fund to support athletes and schools, ensuring equitable opportunities for all.
  • Oversee merchandise creation for athletes and execute marketing campaigns with athlete partnerships.
  • Manage Directors of Relations & Sports across the ACC schools to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Lead the development and execution of an internship and job training program to support future sports professionals.
  • Drive initiatives to create a sports union to advocate for athletes and their needs.
  • Work with investors, companies, brands, and other stakeholders to secure funding and investments to support growth.
  • Develop innovative strategies to expand our services to athletes, teams, and schools, focusing on NIL marketing, management, and design.
  • Identify and negotiate partnerships with sports leagues, brands, and media outlets.
  • Oversee athlete and NIL marketing campaigns, ensuring high-impact visibility and ROI.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create promotional materials, merchandise, and digital content tailored to athletes and sports enthusiasts.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in the sports industry as a professional athlete, senior executive, or sports company owner.
  • Relationships: Proven connections with the ACC Conference, its member schools, and influential stakeholders in sports.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of NIL marketing and athlete management, including licensing, sponsorships, and compliance.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage large-scale initiatives, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to attend meetings, events, and engagements across ACC locations.
SALARY: $750K+, Plus Ownership & Stock opportunities!!
